About Clash of Clans Game
Clash of Clans is an online multiplayer game in which players build a community, train troops, and attack other players to earn Gold, Elixir and Dark Elixir, which can be used to build defenses that protect the player from other players attacks, and to train and upgrade troops. The game also features a pseudo-single player campaign in which the player must attack a series of fortified goblin villages.
Clash of Clans : Buildings
To earn and store gold and elixir, players must build gold mines, gold storage, elixir collectors and elixir storage, respectively. Elixir is used to train new troops, carry out research in the laboratory to upgrade troops, to re-load X-Bows (available from Town Hall 9) and to build and upgrade certain buildings, mostly pertaining to buildings used in attacking another player’s base. Gold is used to build defensive buildings and to upgrade the town hall, which allows access to more buildings and higher levels for existing buildings. At higher levels, dark elixir becomes available; this type of elixir is used to train and upgrade dark elixir troops and heroes, create dark spells, and fuel the Inferno Tower, a defensive building that is available only at Town Hall 10. To earn and store dark elixir, players must build dark elixir drills and dark elixir storages.
There are a number of buildings available to the player to defend their village, including cannons, mortars, bombs, traps, archer towers and wizard towers. Players can also build walls, which can be upgraded as they increase in level.
Clash of Clans : Gems
Aside from gold and elixir, the game also uses gems as a currency. Gems are awarded for reaching certain milestones, completing achievements. One to six gems can be earned from clearing and obstacle such as a tree or a mushroom from your base though the algorithm for this is highly random. Players can also gain 25 gems from clearing a gem box, which costs 1000 elixir. Gem boxes spawn randomly about every week or so. However, the main way to acquire gems is through in-app purchases using real world money. Gems can be used to “boost” building and heroes. Usually for a small sum 10 to 20 gems a player can boost and thus speed up their building to give a times faster output for roughly two hours. Barracks and spell factories are commonly boosted on higher levels of play.
Clash of Clans : Clan wars
Clans are groups of players who join together to support each other, either materially (donating troops) or verbally (giving advice). Players can join clans once they rebuild the special Clan Castle building early on. A major component of the gameplay of Clash of Clans is clans facing off against one another. Clan leaders and co-leaders can begin wars against other clans. Each clan is then given one “preparation day” and one “war day.” When a player attacks a member of the opposing clan, they receive stars based upon the amount of destruction they cause to the opponent’s community. Each player is limited to two attacks per war, and the team with the most stars at the end of the war day is declared victorious. If the two clans’ amount of stars are equal, then the victorious clan is the one that has a greater percent destruction, with players receiving bonus war loot if he/she use their attacks in the war and a one more war win record in the clan description.
Clash of Clans Review
When you start up the game, you’ll be asked to found your very own village and fill it with both a populace and a defense system. You’ll have an army camp where your proudest defenders will reside, a gold mine to fill your pockets up with all the gold you could need to go to war, a town hall for proper leadership of your village and a special elixir gatherer to collect the magical resource. With all of these things, you are left with plenty to do, right from the very start of the game.
As you work on building up your home village into a secure home for your citizens, you will unlock more and more brand new buildings, which ultimately contribute towards the success of your village. If you manage to reach a high enough level, you are all set to take the Clan Castle, a feat which will allow you to build alliances with other player villages, create new units and even upgrade the barracks.
Sure, all of this sounds great, but I haven’t even gotten to the best part of this game yet. Once you begin working your way through battles, you’ll really see why you need to develop a great sense of strategy, whilst the first few battles are incredibly easy to completely decimate, don’t develop a false sense of security, because soon enough, you will hit the harder battles and you will be longing for those easy AI battles again. Without a proper strategy, you find that every member of your army gets completely wiped out of action, your hand to hand guys can’t keep up the pace, so your archers will end up getting sacrificed and BOOM, before you know it, they’re all dead. The best thing to do after you’ve experienced this kind of defeat is to return home, don’t just re-spawn all of your guys again and try the battle again, because you’re only going to get the exact same results, no, what you’ll need to do instead is work on upgrading your barracks, eventually, you will unlock Wall Breakers and Giants, with these guys on your side, the battle should go a whole lot smoother. When in doubt, add some muscle to the team.
Getting further into the game, you’ll quickly learn that what you already have in your village won’t always be enough, you’ll need more and more stronger units, otherwise, you’ll end up going nowhere in the game, if you’re not willing to build on what you already have and think you can get by with what you already have, you would be mistaken, hell, you shouldn’t even be playing this game! No, you need to strategize and really consider what you need to be focusing on in your crusade. Just having the numbers isn’t going to work out, placement and timing will play a big part of your success; don’t time your deployment just right and you could end up getting stuck in the middle of a bloodbath.
The thing with this game is that, even though it’s a lot of the same thing over and over again, it doesn’t get old, because of the constant threat of attack from other players, you have to remain ever vigilant with it, and the desire to protect your village gives you incentive to keep coming back.
Clash of Clans is definitely a good game, regardless of its freemium status, it definitely has more content than people really give it credit for, hence the reason why it is still sitting in the coveted number one spot on the top grossing apps. The people love this game, there are still many active communities dedicated to the strategy and fun of this game. I highly recommend that anyone try this game out, it’s free, so you have absolutely nothing to lose!
First off the game has clearly been around for quite some time now, so whilst the majority of bugs should have already been extinguished, it is not out of the norm to see bugs in a game, even as well developed as this. That said as the game is updated through out 2016 we will be updating the online hack tool so you always have a working download to use. Just remember that if you find yourself coming across any bugs in your game, it would be a good idea to report your problem to the developers, this can be done in a variety of ways such as by social networks like Facebook or Twitter, or the issue can even be reported from within the app, although if you want to go old school, you can always go straight to the Supercell website or send them an email.
By reporting your problem, you ensure that the issue is taken note of, increasing the likeliness that it will be fixed in a future update. The game requires that your device be running at least iOS version 5.1.1 or anything later. There is support for a great deal of languages, but if the game does not support your language, just report it like I mentioned above, as the developers are constantly adding support for more and more languages. The game can be downloaded for free in 2016 from the app store; however there is also the option to purchase further in app currency if you wish to do so. The game currently has a four and a half star rating on the app store and has a great deal of good reviews from satisfied players.
Clash of Clans Game Ratings:
1. Story and Originality
I give the game a 4/10 for its story and originality. Honestly, I see so much story potential in this game, it just sucks that Supercell chose not to incorporate a good storyline, because this game really could have benefited from the sense of flow that a story would provide it with. Whilst this game is full of feature and content, it isn’t exactly an original concept, I don’t even know how many games like this are floating around the app store these days.
2. General Gameplay
I give the game an 8/10 for its general gameplay. This game is not perfect by any means, but really, I can’t actually place any issues I’ve experienced because there have been so few problems with this game, and any problems I have encountered have been so incredibly minor. One of the things that would bother me occasionally was the fact that sometimes when I was moving around the village and sometimes it would register my finger movements as me trying to move one of my buildings, although I don’t know whether you could really call that a problem on the end of the game, more like human error, since it’s something that happens with a lot of other Supercell games I’ve played. The game definitely runs well overall, it loads up very quickly and there aren’t really any problems playing the game. Be aware though, if you leave the game idle for too long (which isn’t really all that long in actual fact, it’s like 5 minutes) it will ask if you’re still there and will ask you to reset you connection to the game, which can be super annoying if you’re playing and you need to go grab a quick drink or something.
I give the game an 8/10 for its addictiveness. I’ll admit, I happily left this running on the side as something to do to kill a little time, in the earlier stages of the game; I didn’t even really need to pay that much attention to what I was doing. It’s a game that is generally easy to get the hang of and if you can get past the annoying sound effects, you can spend a lot of time playing it. It’s only when you hit the freemium barrier where you’re feeling pressured to buy stuff in order to succeed, in reality, Clash of Clan is JUST a freemium game like many others, out to make money off of its fans.
4. Music and SFX
I give the game a 6/10 for its music and SFX. I have to be honest, I was a little disappointed with the music in this game, it really felt like it didn’t fit in with the theme of the game, it actually sound more like something you’d hear in an episode of the smurfs or something. Don’t get me wrong, the music itself was nice, but it just didn’t work with this game. The sound effects were pretty lax, in the village there is just the stereotypical bird noises and some pretty obnoxious sounds when you tap your buildings, I’d honestly rather just mute my iPad completely than have to listen to those sounds, they’re super annoying.
I give Clash of Clans an 8/10 for its artwork. Whilst the game is exactly the most beautiful game to have ever existed, it is not hideous by any means, it’s colorful, full of really well deigned characters, it’s overall visually appealing. I do feel like a little more effort could have been put into the artwork, but if nothing has improved by this current version when it comes to its artwork, I doubt it will even change at all, so I guess we’ll just have to cope with what is already there.
Overall, I rate Clash of Clans 7/10. Could use a great deal of improvement, whether or not these improvements happen is another question.
